Draft — needs legal review
This is a working skeleton, not legal advice. Have it reviewed — and fill in your legal entity and governing law — before you accept live payments.

The service
ThreatShield is developer security tooling: a daemon that runs on your machine and a hosted service that handles licensing, plan limits, and optional AI review.
Plans and billing
- The free tier is free and requires no card.
- Paid plans bill monthly in advance through Stripe and renew until cancelled.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- Prices may change with notice; a change never applies to a period already paid for.
Acceptable use
Do not resell the service, work around plan limits, or use the AI review endpoint for anything other than reviewing code you have the right to review. Automated abuse may be rate limited or suspended.
No security warranty
This is the part worth reading. ThreatShield reduces supply-chain risk; it does not eliminate it. No scanner detects every malicious package, and a clean verdict is not a guarantee that code is safe. The service is provided “as is”, without warranty, and you remain responsible for your own security decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Have a lawyer set the precise wording.
Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms, and will refund any unused paid period where the breach was not deliberate.
